NB Power welcomes you to its website (this “Site”).

Your use of and access to this Site constitute an agreement by you to be bound by the Terms for this Site and as such, amount to an acceptance by you of all such Terms. It is strongly recommended that you regularly review the Terms as NB Power may change the Terms at any time and without notice. If you do not accept the terms, please do not use the site.

 

Protection of Privacy and Confidentiality

NB Power is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of its customers and to maintaining the confidentiality of any and all information obtained from its customers. NB Power cannot and does not guarantee that any e-mail or online form is secure (that it will remain private and/or confidential) or error-free as e-mail can be intercepted, corrupted, lost, destroyed, arrive late or incomplete. Further, NB Power does not accept responsibility and will not be liable to you or to any third party should any of the above circumstances occur. If you decide to transmit information that you consider sensitive, personal, private or confidential via the internet, you do so at your own risk and you agree to accept all responsibility and incur all damages (if any) should any of the above circumstances occur. NB Power has provided other ways for you to contact it and/or obtain information (i.e. mail, telephone or fax).

When given the option to use on-line forms or e-mail to submit requests (connections, disconnections, reconnections, tours, etc.), resumes, report damages, ask questions and/or to offer comments or suggestions, NB Power has provided reasons for the collection of any personal information that it has requested you provide. Privacy and Security on the Self-Serve portion of Site

To ensure the privacy of your information, nbpower.com has established specific processes.

Online Account

When you register, you select your own user ID and password. The only way to access any account information is by entering the valid user ID and your password.

For Residential Accounts:

By registering for an Online Account, you will automatically receive an email notification when your NB Power bill is ready. The e-mail notification will be sent to the e-mail address you have provided to NB Power and you will no longer receive a paper bill each month in the mail. Visit paperless billing for full paperless billing terms and conditions.

To ensure your privacy, please do not share your password with others.

Your Accounts

The only way to gain online access to your NB Power account is to provide information that can only be found on your last NB Power bill. This information includes your full name, your account number and your meter number.

Security

We use industry standard Transport Security Layer (TLS) encryption technologies (256-bit), to protect your personal information.

Completeness and Accuracy of Information

NB Power has made every effort to ensure that the information and material (the "Content") of this Site is complete, accurate and up to date; however, some of the Content may be dated and errors or omissions may still occur. Please contact NB Power in order to find out how to get accurate and official versions of the information or material you wish to rely upon, as NB Power does not warrant or guarantee that the Content is complete or error free.

Content May Change

NB Power may change the Content of this Site at any time and without notice. Please contact NB Power should you have any questions or comments about any changes made.

Content found on NB Power's Site is provided for informational purposes and as a service to our customers and to the public. The Content of the Site is offered on an "as is" basis and without warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied. NB Power does not represent or warrant that this Site will always be available, that it will meet your needs, that access will be error free and uninterrupted, that there will be no delays or loss of transmitted information, that no viruses or other destructive properties will be transmitted to your computer system or that no damage will occur to your computer system. NB Power has provided links to and from other websites for informational purposes and for the convenience of you, of our customers and of the public. NB Power does not endorse, review, approve or control, nor is NB Power in any way responsible for or affiliated with any of the linked sites, the persons or companies named therein, the content of the sites, or the products or services offered or mentioned therein. Your decision to use links to other sites is at your own risk. NB Power shall not be liable to you, to its customers or to any other person for any difficulties, consequences, losses, or damages whatsoever, either direct or indirect, which might arise or occur as a result of your reliance upon, use of, or inability to use the links provided to other sites, including links to downloadable software sites or problems, difficulties or consequences resulting from your decision to download any software. Your use of any software is governed by the terms of the licence agreement, if any, which accompanies the software.

Rates Services & Policies

NB Power has made every effort to ensure that the content of the Rates Schedules and Policies (RSP) is complete, accurate and up to date; however, some of the content may be dated, and errors or omissions may still occur. In the event of a conflict between the content of the online version of the RSP and the official version of the RSP, the content of the official version shall prevail. Therefore, please contact NB Power by any of the methods for contact listed on the Site in order to find out how to get an accurate and official version of the information or material you wish to rely upon.
